More comfortable than my tennis shoes. Wore my beige pair to a trade show in Vegas and walked upwards of 12 miles every day for 4 days. Feet felt great!

I have bought two pairs of these boots to date and even though the construction isn't the greatest for the money/cost (I only buy these when I can get them at half off or more) I love them, why you may ask? I was disabled due a severe crush injury and I have bought and used many different brands of boots, shoes but I have have pain issues that are horrible to live with.. These shoes are all I have found that give me good fit, and allow me to walk without worrying about breaking my foot or leg! I have very little control of my left foot due my accident in which my spine was severed. Due my newest pet, a 10 month old large breed dog which ate my last good pair I now need another set but money's tight for me. Luckily I found yet another pair and will order them today!! YAY! I have decided that I will check Amazon once a week until I have at least three pairs of these boots/shoes to wear as I love them that much. They honestly DO NOT wear out that fast as some would have you believe. I do waterproof them when they are new to keep them in the best condition I can. Sorry this review got so long!

In order To elaborate let me tell you that my feet are wide, flat and high so not every shoe works for me, I've spent thousands of dollars in different brands looking for a suitable working shoe, not until tried the reebok rapid response RB8894 on January 2021 and sass!! no more pain in the feet, no more back pain, I work 8-10 hours daily on my feet and when I get home don't even need to take them off until going to take my shower, they are incredibly confortable, did not give it 5 stars because I had understood the model RB8695 had the composite toe protection that I had on the RB8894, I stil have them just wanted a lower to the ankle pair. Fully recommend.

I just ordered a second pair of these. For a work boot they are very lightweight and comfortable with a good amount of grip and have lasted almost three years of use five days a week. Highly recommended.

This is a "cut and paste" of the review I did on the Reebok "high boot" version ( Reebok Men's Rapid Response RB8895 Safety Boot ). Having tried both, the comments equally apply. Here goes....

These boots are really, really nice and very comfortable. I wasn't sure if I would like the side zipper, but it works well. The "pull-on" loop on the back is helpful.

But if you have narrow feet you will find your feet swim in the forefoot unless you "pad" with additional (or thick) socks. If Reebok would make a "narrow" version (these "medium width" boots felt very much like "wide" boots), then we would have a SIX-star review. I've found that the 5.11 Men's 6" Taclite Boot is a better fit for my narrow feet (they are equally as comfortable, but lack the zipper). Size of these Reebok boots is about 1/2 size big (I wear size 11, but needed a 10.5 in the Reeboks (the 5.11 Taclite boots ran true: I wear 11 and the boots were an 11)).

The zipper makes all the difference in what boot lace-up system is used. You'll note that the 5.11 Taclite boots use eyelets in the fabric while the Reeboks use plastic eyelets. If the Reeboks didn't have the zipper I would not ever touch them because the plastic eyelets are a highly possible point of failure. Given that most will lace up the Rebooks and leave them laced (using the zipper to take off and put on the boot) this is not too much of an issue (ergo, no plastic eyelets on the 5.11 Taclite boots).

One other observation. Reviewers have complained that there is no steel toe but that the boots are advertised as safety boots. This is neither misleading nor incorrect. Yes, they are safety boots and yes they do not have a steel toe. But the product literature tells you that Reebok chose to not use steel so that there would be no issue with metal detectors, etc. In any event, the toe may not be steel, but it still seems to offer significant protection. In the end, if you're a lumberjack or the like and need real steel toe protection then these are not the boots for you. But if you are a soldier (etc.) these are perfect boots (and as a former armored vehicle crewman I can tell you not having steel toes is a plus: I remember having a pair of steel-toed boots and they helped my feet to freeze in the winter and roast in the summer).

Reebok has done really, really well in these boots. If only they would make a narrow foot version!
