My sons love Hiro!
KaterinaNovember 10, 2017
My son loves this train! I wish it went a little faster, he wants it to pull more trains behind it than it actually does but it's still a great toy.
NO.

Never buy this. Even after putting fresh batteries, this train crawls on the carpet or on the tracks....at terribly slow speed. It is utterly boring and pathetic. I returned it.

My son loves trains and Hiro was a great addition to our collection. He fits nicely on the wooden tracks and connects with the other trains.
Wheels don't turn unless battery operated option is on
Cathy LeeAugust 5, 2017
Had to try 3 different sized screwdrivers before being able to unscrew and insert the battery.

Wish the wheels turned without turning the battery operated option on. It doesn't run too smoothly on our mix of Thomas tracks and Melissa and Doug tracks. It gets stuck on some sharp turns and can't pull even it's tender up a steeper hill. I appreciate that the motor sound is very quiet but just wished my kid can play with it without the train constantly getting stuck or falling off the track. I've made a game of it when my 2 year old comes running to me saying "hiro fell off the tracks!" to say "oh no, who will help him? Will thomas help him?" But I can see my toddler getting very frustrated when the newness of this train wears off and he still doesn't work properly.

I bought this for my son who loves all of the Thomas The Train toys. He plays with it for hours.
