Well constructedl no on/off switch

Pros:
-well constructed,
-looks good
-the outer fabric can be removed for cleaning
Cons:
-it does take a while to get warm; maybe 15 minutes or so
-there is no ON/OFF switch; which means you have to plug it in/unplug it to operate it.
-Thats quite primitive and inexplicable given the price point. A timer or timeout switch would also be nice.

This works great to heat up your plates during the winter months....It keeps the food hot.

I used to warm my plates in the oven, which was tough to do sometimes when the oven is in use cooking food. This plate warmer is great for about 4-5 dinner plates. My dinner plates are 11 1/4 inches and a small part of the edges do not warm, but its easy enough to rotate the plates halfway through warming to take care of that. If you have larger plates, or more plates, then go with the larger warmer.

If you are like us and have an older home (1920s) with no insulation, you might be tired of having your hot food go suddenly cold upon placing the food on a plate straight out of the kitchen cabinet in the winter time. After trying to warm our plates with hot water (waste of water), setting them on top or a radiator (took time and I often forgot), I finally broke down and looked on Amazon for plate warmers. I am happy to have done so. Now, the food gets to stay warm at least long enough for you to start eating it.
