Key features

  • NO MATTER THE WEATHER: TerraGrips Tire Chains are built to successfully tackle anything Mother Nature throws your way. Extensively tested, these chains have proven capable of handling all terrains including snow, mud, mulch, gravel, grass, asphalt, and more. You can drive off the road with confidence knowing TerraGrips will do anything, anywhere.
  • PROTECTS PROPERTY: Unlike traditional steel tire chains, TerraGrips are made from multi-ply rubber slats. The rubber base provides superior grip without leaving permanent scratches or marks on asphalt and won't destroy wet or frozen lawns.
  • NEXT LEVEL TRACTION: With TerraGrips Tire Chains, your machinery will be better equipped to plow, snow blow, mow, and till with ease. Our top of the line traction fights against slippage so won't leave you stranded on a steep incline or stuck in a wet, muddy area. Rubber slats offer exceptional durability and prevent additional tire wear caused by steel chains.
  • EASY INSTALLATION: No tools are required to install on your tires. Rubber slats ensure secure fit. Plated steel components resist rust reducing your maintenance time. TerraGrips are available in numerous sizes to improve the traction of a variety of tires.
  • PATRIOTIC AND RESPONSIBLE: Superior Tech's products are proudly manufactured in the USA. TerraGrips Tire Chains are constructed with environmentally friendly recycled rubber. All too often, damaged tires are dumped in landfills consuming valuable space, leading to the risk of fires, and potentially releasing harmful chemicals, such as methane gas, that will contaminate ground water and local land sources.

They don't tear up my blacktop

I like them for not damaging the seal coat on the driveway, but I noticed a lack traction compared to my chines. They do the job at a fair tradeoff.
On my garden tractor year round!

I bought other "traction aides" that were not good. The chains kept falling off, didn't do as good a job, and market up my lawn. The terragrips are the bomb.

Two and a half months later: The terragrips are fantastic in all kinds of conditions. Snow, ice, mud, etc, hills with snow ice or mud are no challenge anymore. I pull 800 pound loads of firewood with my lawn tractor with the terragrips on and nothing slows me down., Fantastic!
Works well, but leave time for installation

I have a Sears Garden Tractor with a snow thrower on the front. My driveway has a moderate incline at the top. Last year, I was able to get up the slope in snow by leaning back on the seat (the tractor is weighted in the back in several ways.) This year, no go. The left rear tire just spun and spun. The chains on that side were worn flat. I decided to try and find something different. I found Terra Grips. I tried them out today and they got me all the way up my driveway in about 4 inches of snow. That made me happy. Now, here is why I don't give this product a 5. They are a pain to get on the tires! I watched the video, I followed the instructions. I even wrote to the company for fear I may have ordered an incorrect size (I did not.) I ended up taking both rear tires off in order to install these chains. Fortunately, I don't have a lawn to mow so these puppies are staying on until they wear out! Two suggestions to the manufacturer: (1) Chain size may seem intuitive, but it is not. A sizing guide for a particular tire size would eliminate some angst for those less familiar with these matters. (2) That video may look easy because it isn't going to be that way for all tractors. Some kind of advice if you don't own a John Deere would be helpful. Otherwise, I am a happy tractor driver.
They provide dramatically improved traction over tires alone.

Excellent product. I was torn between the TerraGrips and steel chains. I was concerned about damage to my driveway with the steel chains when snow blowing but concerned that the TerraGrips would not give me the traction I needed. I'm happy to say the TerraGrips have exceeded my expectations. I have a John Deere X530 tractor with a 47" snowblower, HDAP tires, and 4 42lb. suitcase weights. The dealers will tell you that you don't need chains with the HDAP tires but that is bad advice. I have a flat driveway and I've gotten stuck more than once with the HDAP tires without chains. I've now plowed three times after installing the TerraGrips and have had no issues. In fact the traction is dramatically improved. I'm sure they would still slip on sheer ice, but how often do you have sheer ice without at least a little bit of snow on top. I've had snow on top of slick ice and have had no issues. I don't understand why the dealers don't just recommend these with the purchase of a snowblower. It's a no brainer and they work way better than just tires alone. The investment is extremely small considering the price of a tractor with a snowblower. I wish I would've bought these along time ago. It would've save me a lot of headache. If you're on the fence, pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed.
These turned my riding mower into a hill climbing machine.

I had a 20yr old piece of junk mower that would go anywhere without chains, regular turf tires. I just bought a newer bigger Husqvarna with same tires and it just sits n spins on the slightest hill. I hate it but it looks good and stuff doesnt fall off while mowing. I got these mainly for the yard and not disappointed. They really grip in and will dig ruts like chains if you start spinning. Roll the mower back and forth to get slack out when installing. I put rubber tie downs on which greatly improved fit. I was worried they would start to slide out of place on tires but after a few hours they are still in place. These seem to be good quality, we'll see after a few months of abuse. A bit pricey for me, costs more than my last riding mower I bought at junkyard and used for 10yrs.
