I own this exact same carrier from a more expensive brand I found here on Amazon as well (medium-large size). Well I needed to purchase a smaller carrier in addition to the one I already have, but that expensive brand is twice the price of this carrier! I purchased this with a preconceived notion that it would be cheaply made, flimsy; a "knock off" if you will. When I opened up the box and extended the little bars, I already knew I was wrong! This carrier is solid and made just as well as the more expensive brand! I wish I had went with this brand to begin with! 5 stars!

What I like the most would be the 3 ways that it can be left open or closed, plus it's got a soft pad to sleep on and since it's a heavy fabric, if she moves around, it stays quiet. The only issue I have isn't with the carrier, my dog is a puppy mill rescue and for that reason she has issues with being confined. I do wish I would have bought the next size up, just to give her a bit more room. But it works for what I want, mostly transporting her.

Bought this for my cross country move to transport my 14 year old cat in. He's almost 11 lbs. This worked out great for him! He was sedated most of the time because he gets sick and meows the whole way so my vet prescribed a mild sedative and he honestly slept most of the drive. So I'm not sure if he could open the zippers, but if you have a very playful cat it's possible they could figure it out. I'd recommend just tying the zippers together if that becomes an issue. I was able to carry him in and out of places in it without the bottom sagging. I did add cardboard to the bottom of it to add extra support. It folds up neatly which is nice! It's a pretty decent size too which is why I bought it because his old one was pretty small and dark inside. This one provides lots of light, so your feline friend won't feel as scared. I also had 2 kids in the backseat and I was able to slide this carrier in between their car seats (I got the small carrier). It was still a tight squeeze but once he was in there it worked great. This carrier, even though I got the small, was still a really good size for my one cat. Love that the pet bed is washable too in case he ever has an accident inside. Would recommend!

I have several of these and absolutely love them. They are great for transporting cats to the vet. If I had the space I would leave one out for a little kitty hide away. They like to go in them. They are easily washable and very durable. They can be a bit challenging to put together the first few times but it gets easier. They fold down for easy storage and wash out easy with water and soap if needed.

This was shipped without the fleece mat. I emailed the company and they promptly shipped it out. The mat is worthless though, it barely has any cushioning, it's a thin sheet of "foam" that's more like packing material used for shipping. I cut a piece of egg-crate foam to use instead. The crate itself is sturdy, made of durable canvas but the mesh windows will not hold up if your dog chews or scratches at them. Also, 3 zipper pulls broke off the first time I touched them. Since I won't use this often, I'm settling but if I had to do it over, I'd look for a higher quality crate even if it cost a little more.
