I slept on a waterbed for 15 years and always loved it. Was in a relationship and gave it up. I ditched the guy and decided to go back to one but had thrown out the mattress. Amazon and InnoMax to the rescue. The mattress is great. Once filled I liked the very slight shifting which means the baffles were working. Falling asleep is once again a joy. I did notice the smell others mentioned but placed a fabric softener sheet under the mattress cover and that went away fairly quickly. My only concern was that the mattress arrived in a plastic cover and Fed-Ex had ripped it in several places.There was the risk of puncture holes, but to my relief that was not the case. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

I like this a lot, I did get a leak after one week of use, I think it may have happened in shipping as the box was damaged when I received it. so I will give this 3 stars because It looks as if I may have to buy it again

I replaced my old freeflow mattress with this one and I am extremely pleased with it. The mattress was easy to install and did not take long to fill.

I appreciate the extra support and the wave reduction qualities. I use a down mattress pad over my mattress and this is the most comfortable waterbed I have had yet.

I've been sleeping in a waterbed since 1983 and I absolutely love it. This is my third mattress in over 30 years, so you can see that the cost of flotation sleep is minimal compared to traditional mattresses.

A few words of advice if you have a waterbed or are thinking about getting one:
(1) Get the electric pump for draining it and you will save yourself a lot of hassles.
(2) Don't waste your money on waterbed sheets. They are overpriced. I use a king size flat on the bottom of my queen bed and just tuck it in the corners. You can also easily sew a strip of fabric to the sheet to make a strap for better security.
(3) Don't waste money on water conditioners. All you need to do is keep the algae out. If you have chlorinated water, that will do the trick. If you don't have chlorinated water, add a couple of cups of bleach.
(4) Always plug your heater into a good quality surge protector. The only heaters I have had burn out were plugged directly into an outlet or into a cheap surge protector.

Waterbeds rock!!

This is an excellent mattress. We have had a waterbed for over 35 years. By far the most comfortable. Reduced motion, settles quickly. Ignore reviews that say it is difficult to set up. Follow instructions and sets up perfectly. The plastic odor is as would be expected from a new product and is not offensive.; dissipates well with time. Would buy this product again in a heart beat.
