I recieved this today, and I am reasonably pleased with it. I got the Oakshotte type XVIIIb.The blade itself is perhaps a bit shorter and narrower than you might expect (1 3/10" at its widest), but it feels well balanced and not too heavy. The ridged "leather " wrapped hilt provides a comfortable grip, especially for a smaller hand. Some of the details are a little sloppy, but you have to expect that from a sword at this price point, and it's not excessive. The scabbard has a bit of bunching in the leather that annoys me a bit. The metal color of the hilt and hardware is more of a brushed pewter look, with small, conservative goldtone accents. The pommel has some mock-elvish embossed writing on it, that isn't evident in the photos.I would never call this a battle ready sword, but mine acually has a slight edge to it. If you are looking for a nice display piece on a budget, something that you want to feel functional but don't plan on hacking at trees, this would be a decent choice.
A few things here and there, but I still like it.

I was looking for a sword for my Game of Thrones costume and this was the best sword for the price. The blade is shorter in comparison to similar swords in my collection, so i measured the blade and saw from where the blade starts from the guard to the point and saw the blade was 26 inches rather than the advertised 27 inch blade. Another thing to note is the point of the blade is more stubby than what was shown in the photo. All nit picking aside, the sword is good overall and it was what I was looking for. I would not recommend this blade to be taken into battle, but if you are looking for a blade for a costume or a possible display piece, this sword is a good option for the price. Shipping was on time and the transaction was easy and would recommend this seller based off my experience.
A nice sword!

Very pleased with this sword. It looks amazing and elegant. Blade is 440 stainless and has a good amount of flex. Rattles a bit when trying to find the center of percussion. Not really sharp but I still wouldn't swing it at anything that I like. Can unscrew the pommel and take it apart. VERY well balanced and its a pleasure to swing. Balances about 1.5" from the guard. Scabbard is really nice as well. Doesn't look cheap and looks like quality materials. Overall, id get another just because I like looking at it.
Good for the price

Good looking blade I added to my collection. a bit on the small side compared to my Anduril prop.

It says its made of high carbon steel which I DO know that carbon steel is what makes a "REAL" sword instead of a heavy stainless, so this will be my first carbon steel.

After I cleaned the oils off the blade. Its pretty lightweight which I really like and feels sturdy, feels slightly sharpened halfway up the blade and comes with a leather sheath.

It had a few imperfections on the blade but what do you expect for 50 bucks right!

On the bottom of the handle there is a decent sized ring, a pin that is loose in the middle, and a chrome hex nut on the very bottom (again, 50 bucks).
But is still pretty nice for a decoration piece if that's what you like.

Judging by the little weight that the blade has, the indication on the site that it is a carbon steel sword, and that I went outside to swing it as hard as I could.
I'm sure that if this blade was sharpened it could do some damage.

All in all I do really like it, simple medieval look, its made of metal :p "carbon steel", great price, looks great next to my other 2 swords.
And I'm pretty sure that if I hit someone with this that it would hurt.
