Initially was going to install this in my wife's car, but since the LCD that I bought did not work, I switched out my own 4" LCD and put it into her car. The camera works. So far not much noise and image is alright. Going to try tonight to see how it performs in the dark.

I have an in-dash navigation/radio system and it has an extra AV RCA input. This camera comes with the night vision camera and send and receive wireless connections so I can just plug it into my nav dash for backup camera functionality. I got tired or all the gadgets on my dash so went this way to crate a clean look and great functionality. This is not the highest resolution backup camera you can but but is more than clear enough to see what you need, especially when backing up to a trailer.

The "wireless license mounted review backup cammera" work exactly as advertises (which is not always the case!) Just rmember you have to get the wires from the camera into the trunk or liftgate. I installed two, one on a Toyota Corolla and the other on a Honda Odessy. Most of the effort/time was getting to wires inside the vehicle in such a way that it looked good and the rain would not drip in. I picked-up power from the backup lights, so the camera is only powered when the car is in reverse. (I wasnt sure if this would give the camera time to connect/sync to the video monitor, but it worked great) The only thing that I would say is "missing" from the kit is a rubber gromet to keep the wires from getting cut on the hole you have to drill to get the wires in. (Yes you do have to drill a hole in the trunk lid, and yes they provide a holesaw for that, as part of the kit) You'll also need some zip-ties if you want things to look tidy inside the trunk. I'd give this product a 95 out of 100.

I personally absolutely love this product. My GPS navigation system automatically wants to detect a back up camera whenever I put my car in reverse, and this was the perfect fit. It was very easy to install, and the wireless capabilities of such make it even more of a great buy.
The only thing that I've noticed is that if it is left on for an extended period of time, the signal can become distorted or not appear at all. But for a simple task as backing out of the driveway, this is the perfect thing.

Narrower field of view is perfect for on the road use. I use this as remote viewer for behind my trailer. Works much better than 170 wide angle which works well for backing purposes but is useless for highway road view. The wireless link has marginal range so had to move the transmitter to front of the trailer and receiver to the rear of the truck. Haven't used this long enough to establish reliability but so far has worked as advertised. BTW, the camera has range markers that senses the camera orientation so the markers are always on the bottom even when you flip the camera. The video output is mirror imaged for rear-view mirror application so you don't have to tweak the monitor setting for a correct view.
