I typically used a comb to get the hair out of of my brush, which worked fine as far as it went--the hair came out, but there would be little fuzzy bits stuck around the bristles that were a total pain to try to get out. I was skeptical that this tool would make much of a difference, but I was totally wrong. All those stubborn fuzzy bits (they build up so much during the winter when I'm wearing cozy clothes) came right out! I'm reluctant to buy special tools for things sometimes, but this really made a difference. It's totally worth it!

I thought that I was going to need to buy new hairbrushes since mine were dirty and full of hair that I couldn't get out with my hands. I bought this tool on a whim hoping for the best. I did decide to test this outside as I felt like it might make a mess releasing all the dirt and debris. I was right on that front, but when I was done I thought that the brushes looked brand new again. I used it on round brushes and a flat paddle brush and it worked on both equally well. Love love love this product.
