I am currently in PTA school and we were required to buy a BP cuff. We are currently in our unit on vital signs and this cuff works great. Very clear readings and easy to use. Love that it has the artery indicator based on which arm you are taking measurement on. Would definitely recommend for anyone just learning because it is such a good price and easy to learn on!

I am in nursing school, and I bought this blood pressure cuff so I could practice on others. I personally would have liked the cuff better if it didn't have the metal ring on it. This is just my personal preference, and may just be because the cuff I was originally trained on did not have a metal ring, and I'm just not used to using this one yet.
The metal D ring does make it easy to use on yourself though. So if you are needing a blood pressure cuff to check your own BP, I would recommend this product. It is good quality, and gets the job done.

All I can say is for a starting sphygmomanometer, it's alright. In hindsight though I wish I just shelled out the extra few bucks for a better one. That's not to say that this is a bad product. It gets the job done, but it could be made better. My main complaint is that it's not wrap-around. There's a bar (or long metal ring) so you actually have to stick a person's arm through the sphygmomanometer and then wrap it. It's hard to describe until you actually see it. If you're not careful it can snag on a person's shirt or just get caught in itself and that just ruins everything. Once you get the hang of it, it does read blood pressure well.
It's not terrible; like all minor annoyances you just kind of learn to live with it, but it's still annoying.

My mother was recently discharged from the hospital after a rare and dangerous Reaction to her chemo, Avastin. The side effect has been long term hypertension. We had purchased an automated cuff reader but would often get higher readings that were not seemingly accurate on rare occasions. So my husband and I being nurses felt it would be safer to take a manual blood pressure and record the difference. I'm glad we did get this cuff because it allowed us to be assured should she check it with her automatic reader, she doesn't stress out and patiently feels secure until we come home and use this device. It's hospital grade, high quality and extremely accurate.

This is one of the best Sphygmomanometers is great for the price. My oldest daughter is a med student and the cost adds up super fast. This kit is fab for everything not just for med students. Its great quality for the price and fully adjustable to fit any adult. I love that it comes in a carry case to keep it clean and to help her keep up with it among the million other items she requires. Great product.
