Common issue-- faulty diodes give out on this model

Failed after 18 months with minimal use. Seems a schotty diode gave out on the circuit board which is a common problem with these units. Unless you like soldering very small diodes, I would give this a miss.

this is a very nice power supply. I don't use it in the field however, I just set it up next to the charger on my workbench. It is simple to operate, well constructed, and does everything it should do.
