Doesn't hold an edge. Had to sharpen every 2 minutes while chopping through a 3" diameter stick.

Great hatchet! You grab it and just wanna start chopping. Handle is perfect I got smaller hands. As far as the blade goes, I had to put a whole new edge on it with a belt sander and after words this is hatchet is amazing and strong. I think if this handle does break you can replace with wood handle.... I don't see that happening though.

Not sharp, not in the slightest. You MUST get a sharpening stone and have the time to use it, if you want to get any use out of this hatchet.
Do NOT buy the "Rawhide Blade Cover / Fits 22210 Camper's Axe, Small" sheathe that is recommended by Amazon. IT DOES NOT FIT. Really a shame, that this item does not come with a custom sheathe.
Used this to chop a hard log at about 4" diameter, without having / using a sharpening stone first. Took a lot of time and energy, and earned a blister inside my thumb. Plastic handle got sweaty and slippery, which is dangerous. Leather handle grip would have been safer.

As sharp as a spoon. If you buy it you cannot use it until you sharpen it.
