Old remote just 'died'. I ordered this after reading reviews of other types of remotes and although this was a bit more expensive ($18.00). I ordered it, it arrived, put a battery in it and it worked. (Took all of 3 seconds after unwrapping all the paper, bubble wrap, etc). Also, originally scheduled to be delivered June 6th-9th, it arrived on June 2nd. Excellent deal for remotes that just don't work anymore.
Does dim and brighten up and down lights.

Works perfectly. Does dim and brighten the up light and the down light as well. Easy to set up with the dip switches. Great price and purchase.

This remote works perfect as the same that came with the original ceiling fan. None difference.I did look on Lowes and Home Depot and they did not have it. My wife told me looks in Amazon. GREAT ADVICE. As always they have it all.

I have been looking for this model for a long time. The buttons on my previous remote had worn out and I was not able to use the fan or light. I was worried I might have the whole fan replaced since its 13 years old. I went to Home Depot and I was directed to a "universal remote". My better judgment told me not to bother that it would be frustrating to find the right settings for the fan and remote to match. I stumbled across this one recently and thought I'd take a chance since it matched my old one exactly. I put the battery in and boom! I have a working fan and light source again. What a relief!
Great replacement for draining fan remotes

I am so thankful for this product to be available. The remote that came with my fan after 2 years was draining the battery like any thing and had to purchase 2025 battery every week or two. This one uses a regular battery and for the past couple of months I did not have to change it which a great relief. It even controls the diming of lights and multiple fan speeds.
