Piece of cake

Took 10 minutes to install with the right tools (a T40 torx) and a good bit of elbow grease to loosen the factory. Works perfectly in my 2003 PT Cruiser. I like that these replacements just need a socket driver to install and are not Torx.
Good Product

Good buy.... so far

My tailgate is back to working as it should. They did the job, and were easy to install (if you have the right tools). Love the snap-on ball and socket feature. Only time will tell whether they will last as long as the originals or not. Hopefully longer!

Works perfectly on my 2003 PT Cruiser.
Installation is a two person Job!

These tailgate replacement lifts work perfectly fine but they are tricky getting in because the top bolt has to go in at an angle. Installation can take ten minutes or an hour depending on how you go at it. It will take 10 minutes if you use two people and screw the top bolts in at their weird angle first then screw in the bottom bolts. It will take an hour if you do it without any assistance and you don't screw in the top bolt first. When screwing in the top bolt make sure you go in at an upward angle and use a power drill because this will make it easier for the bolt to catch the threads. After you get the first one in the second one is a breeze. I feel that they work better than the factory lifts.
