Not bad at all. Those of us who do still eat chicken will note that it's not *really* chicken, but to be fair, it's damn close. It certainly doesn't compromise any of my recipes and my vegetarian teen is really happy, as I use this to make "chicken" seitan.

My husband and daughter are vegetarian but I am not. I struggle to find a flavor base/bullion that tastes like chicken/beef that they can eat and doesn't contain a lot of unnessecary ingredients. It is great as a ramen packet substitute.

I use this stuff in everything. I don't know if you'd be able to fool your guests into thinking that they're really eating chicken, but I mix this into seitan or in any kind of soup/stew and it adds a lot of flavor.

5 Stars!!! - BEST Chicken Flavor Base I've Ever Tasted !!! Vegan or Poultry/Meat Based. Searched and tried so many vegan "chicken flavor" pre-made seasoning mixes/packets, cubes, recipes, etc. for over 15 years and never could find one that wasn't too onion-y, or garlicky, or even came close to an authentic chicken flavor, without any chicken in it. Finally, found the one! This is the only one I will ever be using and ordering from here on out. This truly tastes so good to me, that I would definitely cook with this for non-vegans/non-vegetarians. The smell, aroma, and the taste of the broth created is amazing. Some will not believe that this does not have any chicken/poultry product in it. This (and the Beef flavor base one) will be my go-to bases for cooking gravies, broth, soup, broth for my homemade seitan "meats", etc. Now I have the broth to finally make my own vegan Won Ton soup that I've missed so much. Have added a photo of some of my "chicken" and "beef" " seitan " meats made with this RC Fine Foods Chicken Flavor Base. (Have written basically the same for the Beef Base product, too.)
