Great mattress for the waterbed
The best sleep ever!

Bed technology is such BS. We went on a 10 year quest to figure out the most important 8 hours of every day of your life...fact: it's a waterbed.
My wife and I tried high quality mattresses for $5k, Costco mattresses at $1K, sleep number at $3K, memory foam for $4K, organic latex for $2K, even the Dux feather bed for $10K! Returned them all within the return period.
The winner: 1970's style waterbed! We found a great frame and headboard online for $500, use a $100 heater, a thick quality mattress pad, the best safety liner for another $50, and water conditioner for another $10/year.
Every night when you slip into bed the first thing you feel is warmth and snuggles. Then the fun giggling of water motion like you are playing in the pool.
Supports your back, great for your neck (use a very soft pillow) and, of course, it's great for your love life!
Of the things a modern human needs, access to healthcare, government stability, a Toto Washlet, and the best nights sleep possible.
Now, I get that some rentals or multi-family do not allow them...that is what the safety liner is for. In 15 years we have had 2 failures. They do not POP...they seap. So if you have a leak, usually in a seam, you wake up to a little wettness. You simply drain it into the bathtub and get a new mattress and liner for $150. Not bad! Considering how much a conventional mattress costs.
A month ago, we woke up to our 2nd failure in many years. It looks like it may have been seaping for a few days...the mattress pad and sheets soaked up the majority and nothing escaped the safety liner. I drained it...3 days later, thanks to Amazon, we are back to bed. Thanking the Maker we had our waterbed back. (This time, as an extra caution, I added one of those $20 water leak detectors for early warning.)
Seriously, I can not tell you how much more luxurious and restorative sleeping in a warm waterbed can be.

Great to get a good nights sleep again.

I read a few reviews before purchasing this product and what I read couldn't be more wrong. This mattress was delivered and was quickly removed from packing by me expecting this horrible smell everyone was mentioning? While there was some no where near as much as the complaints, it is a large plastic bladder that is brand new what was everyone expecting, Geez. Set mattress up quickly in frame and started to fill. Here was another knock fill area in middle? Again its not in the middle of the bed its at the bottom of the bed in the middle and doesn't get in the way of anything in fact it was much easier than my last mattress to fill. Filled it to my preferred way and turned heater on. While it is recommended to wait 24 hours to sleep on I was able to use it that night and Slept GREAT! Way smoother than last mattress, heated nicely and quickly. Have used this mattress for a few weeks now and am extremely satisfied and there is no smell at all. If you want a great mattress on a budget this is perfect.
Good Deal! But, better made cap strongly advised for manufacturer

The mattress is fine, my complaint is the flimsiness, cheapness, of the screw-on cap that's ONLY job is to keep the water in! When you reach in to pull out the cap from it's recess by the plastic loops provided to add water or just to burp the bed, unless you are VERY careful, the cap slips off and unless you act very quick you've got water spewing out everywhere! The cap couldn't be made any thinner and it's an accident waiting to happen every time you need to access it. All of my previous mattresses had a thick sturdy cap that never was a threat of slipping its threads when being pulled out when needed.
All Waterbed Matresses are NOT the same!

We've been sleeping on the InnoMax Sanctuary Free Flow Full Wave Waterbed mattress for about a month now and its the best waterbed mattress we've slept on in 25 years! Previously when needing a new mattress (because its always an emergency!) we went to a local waterbed store and purchased the typical silver one. They all seemed to carry the same brand and we figured that was all that was available.
This time I checked Amazon before heading out to the local store and found this one. It was cheaper - even with overnight shipping - so, we ordered it.
Pros:
-less expensive than local store
-squared corners instead of the rounded corners of typical waterbed mattresses - this is something we never considered one way or the other and it makes a HUGE difference! The mattress fills out the frame completely - no slopping on the sides or corners.
-very comfortable
Cons:
-strong vinyl smell that took about 2 weeks to subside
