We thought it would fit our 2008 Honda CRV better than what it does. According to the manufacturer's information it is supposed to fit our vehicle - a tow vehicle for an RV. The bottom strap is not set up for this make and model of car as there is nothing to hook it directly to - plastic from the rear door trim is completely in the way. The straps configuration and their being spread out the way they do allow for the manufacturer to say they fit to a wide number of vehicles but, in all reality, the "fits" are marginal without some creative engineering on the owner's part. We did cover the clamps/brackets with velcro to cushion them against the car body and we added more velcro straps to hold the bike(s) in place The only stock way to hold the bike on is for it to rest in two molded "seats" with marginal velcro straps - nothing for the wheels and no way to keep the bike(s) vertically stable. It is easy to see how some people have lost their bikes if they didn't take the time and effort to upgrade the rack. We cinched the straps up and then trimmed them, doubling back the trip and securing the ends with tiebacks. This is still a lot better than the alternative of installing a hitch (especially considering that on newer cars a hitch installation without upgraded cooling may invalidate your warranty) but - again - requires some creative engineering on your part to be fully functional. Minus one star for the misleading advertising and minus one star for the lack of a decent bottom strap clamp that would work for the make/model the manufacturer said it would.

Works very well! Of course with any trunk bike rack there is the possibility of scratching/chipping your paint, especially where the hooks attach to the trunk, but other than that this serves its purpose. I drive a 2010 Kia Forte Koup and this bike rack holds my 35lb 29er with ease, even on bumpy roads, as long as you tighten the straps sufficiently, your bike should stay put! Also I add bungie chords to my bike after its on the rack, one to keep my front wheel from turning, one to keep my pedals in place to keep them from rubbing my bumper and one more just around the whole bike for added support!

After buying this and asking the seller if it was for women's bikes (as it wasn't really clear in the description) I got a general response of nobody has complained so far kind of answer... it is a best seller.... but I was specific and since I didn't get a reply, tried to cancel right away. No go, if it doesn't work, return it. At the end of the instructions it says "SPECIAL NOTE ON INSTALLING WOMEN'S STYLE FRAMES.... " then there is instructions on tie-down cable techniques...way more than I want to do for this seemingly simple product then read further: "The ALLEN 900B ADAPTOR BAR IS ALSO RECOMMENDED." So I just think that people will want to know to order the adapter bar (I just did) and yes it says adaptor... not adapter. ;-)

2-bike trunk mount rack. I bought this for my mid-size car but we ended up putting it on my friend's Scion SB. It was essential to read the complex directions to figure out how to tighten everything and mount it. Friend was concerned that the mount was scraping his paint, although I don't think it was. But you spend good time figuring out how to tighten the straps super tight, then you put the bikes on which are heavy and weigh down the rack. Friend was paranoid while driving the short distance to the bike path so we pulled over for some adjustments/tightening of the rack. Hopefully I can find the instructions again next time we use it.

Overall, it does hold 2 bikes, although my women's bike had to be put in differently because it barely fit. It does the job. But the straps aren't perfect and they may loosen while driving, hopefully not enough to cause any problems, but just enough to make you paranoid. One pro is that it will probably fit most cars, including sedans and minivans.

We absolutely love this bike rack. It is very easy to adjust and fits multiple vehicles. Since it fits two bikes, its the perfect size for my husband and I. We can easily load up both of our bikes and go for a trip. We have used this rack on a 2014 Honda Civic and a 2010 Jeep Patriot without any problems. We did find that some of the anchor straps were a little long for our needs, so we just wrap them up and tie them in a knot or secure them with a plastic tie. Also, for a bit of added security, we usually tie a knot in the strap right behind the plastic slides used to adjust the length of the straps. The knots keep the strap from shifting after we load the bikes. We has used the rack for heavier cruiser and for our road bikes without issue. We are very pleased with this rack and highly recommend it if you are in the market.
