I recvd this radio today! My personal opinion they are a step above the galaxy radios! I recommend getting the modifications done for Max Peak & audio power! It's an audio monster !

Had one for years. Best radio I ever had, after you tune and peak. With small linear, and a wilson 2000, 18ft of coax, I could skip pretty far. I held conversations on it with folks in NY, California, Dominican Republic, while I was tooling about in Texas. I hit washington state, but think it was due to weather and atmospheric conditions. This radio will get you out of trouble faster than most other radios.
