Works ok but it is made for a place where you can have metal for a good suction so you can turn the handle for crushed ice. I would have liked an ice crusher better that attaches to a wall.

Had been looking unsuccessfully for one like this for the cottage in several stores - after coveting a similar and much older model at a friend's home. And so far I've not been disappointed - it works easily, creating a supply of ice chips for fun drinks (including mint juleps and Irish Cream liqueurs), as well as simply to cool a glass of water without large awkward ice cubes.
And those extra ice chips store well in a freezer bag for quite a while.

I have 2 of these. No problem. Used almost weekly. Do not put in dishwasher and keep dry after use to prevent rust.

I bought this for my wife after the ice crusher built in to our side by side broke. It does a really nice job of crushing ice. It easily crushes the Half-Moon shaped ice that comes out of the ice maker. It also crushes ice from a regular ice cube tray. It does require a little more effort though.
The suction cup base is made from thick rubber and it holds the crusher on the counter. It makes the job of crushing ice a whole lot easier.

I love crushed ice for a mixed drink or just for water and this little gem will tackle all the ice you want to put in the hopper and crank away. The suction base keeps it in place and makes it easy to have crushed ice in just a few seconds. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is a crushed ice junkie like me.
