Bought this for my son for christmas and ordered it way back in novemeber and he just now opened it for his bday and the portal doesnt even work not happy at all!

I got this for my son in Feb. 2015 for him for christmas of this year and the disk is junk. Won't work and the platform can't even read the characters it came with. My son is very disappointed and so am I. The sad part is he thinks Santa gave him a broken one cause he was bad.

I have been looking for this starter pack for a long time. I have the 3.0 version and realized that this didn't play 1.0 starter pack games. The specific game is a Cars Play set. I was glad I was able to get this set at a good price. Now my son is able to play the Cars Playset game. This is definitely a must have in order to play the 1.0 playsets.

I picked up Disney Infinity the week it went on sale. Having already enjoyed Skylanders, this seemed like more of the same, except with great Disney character that I love. Being an avid gamer and toy collector this game is the perfect mix of my style.

The game works just like Skylanders, using a "power portal" that comes with the game to intigrate the figures into the game world. Each set of figures come with a level specific to their film. These are the usual fetch quests, destroy bad guys, find treasure, explore type of fare found in most young adult type games, but it is really fun to mess around in a classic Disney world with the characters.

I really love the figures that this game uses. They are all stylized to fit the same universe, so the characters never look out of place with each other. They are also very well detailed for the scale and quality. The game also features a "toy boy" mode along with the story modes for the different play sets. In toy box mode, you create your own world to explore from pieces you collect through out your adventures. In this world you can spawn enemies or build castles, change the texture patterns to include themes from the movies, or have a go at some challenges or even create your own.

There is a lot going for this game and that would be the one downside. When you are first dropped into the game it can be a little overwhelming with all the options infront of you but you get the hang of it and it really comes down to your creativity level to build some really fantastic worlds in the toy box.

This is a great two player game also, which can be played splitscreen, and online with 4 players.

I recommend this game for anyone who enjoys Disney or Skylanders.
