FANTASTIC !!!

Like all Polarlights products, this was another great kit. The injection mold is great, and it is nice to finally have proper Romulan decals for the 1/1000 scale D-7. The decals can also be used on any kit-bash of any other Romulan vessel. There is no limit to the ways that Polar Lights Kits can be used. Buy and enjoy !!!
Awesome detail at an awesome scale

I have always loved the Romulans and their variant of the D7 battle cruiser was always my favorite. Now I have it at a scale that shows off detail and doesn't take up too much space.
Nice model kit for a weekend project to add to my collection

I bought this as i wanted a Romulan version of the D7 cruiser. Was happily surprised that this model can make both the Romulan or the Klingon Version, parts and decals for both are included. Wish I knew this before I bought the Klingon only version as it has all the decals already on it. My intentions are to build using cement and putty and then paint the kit. I am in the process of making a collection of all the 1:1000 scale Enterprise models along with the opposing Klingon and Romulan ships in the same scale. Kit looks well made and should be fairly easy to build. The only negative thing I find is the chromed parts, I will have to strip the chrome off of them and then pain them to my liking. Otherwise very happy with this purchase.
Cross the Neutral Zone if you dare!

Everything good and/or bad posted by the other reviewers is true about this Romulan battlecruiser. This is the first model I've built in some 30 years but I was really drawn to it because "The Enterprise Incident", the one-and-only ep where this odd ship appears on the show, is one of my all-time favorite TOS episodes. I did need to use a razor (poorly) and glue here and there (also poorly) as some parts like the "wing" connectors to the engine nacelles just didn't want to stay on without it. I think if I were more skilled, sanding and painting could have made the finished product look better (gaps and a bump I can't account for on the underside of the command pod), but as it is those extra steps were out of the question for me. I do have to say I highly appreciate the finished product. Extra points to PolarLights for throwing in a complete set of Klingon decals in addition to the Romulan ones, in case you change your mind about which you want after purchase. Pictures follow --
A great Kit

Yes it's a Klingon Battle cruiser that's all dressed up with no place to go, however the decals are wonderful and the build is pretty straight forward. A good starter kit for the young modeler and a good challenge for someone with more skills to sharpen those detailing skills before taking on other projects. Get the kids off the Xbox and PlayStation for a while and go build something, Happy Modeling Folks.
