I have the original one. Used it for 5+ years got sick and tired of waiting forever for charging, then the handle broke off so I was glad to see this. But there's something different about this one. The other one really dug into the dirt esp on a full charge but this one kinda feels like it's not fully charged even though it is. Eh. Not digging it (pardon the pun) What a shame : \ Newer item isn't always better as in this case. Darn it.

Works great in my veggie garden. Battery charge last. I bought an extra battery. Will not break virgin soil well. Dose a great job of aerating my garden. Can get close to plants. A little slower then a hoe, but you do get the advantage of turning up roots, and aerating.

Black & Decker has come through again with this tool. We live in the mountains so the ground is rocky and hard. Not a problem for this unit. I did a spectacular job for its size and battery operation. I had a friend stop by yesterday to take a look at it after I told her how well it worked. She gave it a try and was amazed. Another unit sold.

Ive been loving the B+D electric line for a while now, because I hate gas and waiting for large engines to cool down for use.
I had been using another tiller but this one was awesome for narrow areas like my already established flower bed in the front of my house.
Never used it long enough to drain the charge, and really was only used bout 3 times this season. Cant wait to use it again.

I use this for breaking up areas along the driveway which have been smashed due to careless drivers. I've had to replant the grass seed along the drive about 4x times now. I've learned my lesson by lining the driveway with logs to prevent drivers from leaving the path. Next I'll be using this to tear up a section of the yard to plant some veggies. I can't wait.
