Not bad for the price.

For the power, with a USB port, this is a good value. There are just a few quirks that I wish I'd known about that prevent me from giving it five stars. I am using three of these in an automated test fixture.

The transient response is quite poor. Expect anything with a large inrush current requirement to brown out as the supply ramps up. I just coded a delay into my test cycle, but it could be an issue for some.

The USB commands are touchy. If you're driving from a program, this is no issue. If you're typing into a terminal, you'll have to copy and paste commands in for them to be accepted. The inter-character timeout time is way too short. On the plus side, it responds to commands promptly.

The internal current resolution is only 50 milliamps. Competing power supplies tend to be tenths of hundredths of an amp. This limits what you can do with the supply.

Otherwise, this is a good supply. I have a total of three of them.

This does what it says on the tin. Overall, I'm happy I have it!

This does what it says on the tin. Overall, I'm happy I have it and use it almost daily for my robot project.

It loses a star, for two reasons (each worth half a star):
- It takes a while to start up, going through a long start-up check sequence. It doesn't turn on the output power until the sequence is complete.
- It doesn't seem to have a "very low" fan setting. Instead, it will run for a bit with the fan off, and then when enough heat has built up, it will run the fan with quite noticeable noise for half a minute, and then it will turn off the fan again. If the fan could spin at some intermediate, lower, speed, then it might have been able to run quiet forever.
