Fasteners rusting, quality is questionable...

I've had the SportRack Roof Racks for about 2 years and have used them about 20 times to transport my snowboards.
They are on my car for roughly 3 months before being removed for the season, then stored for the spring/summer.
As of now, all of the metal fasteners are rusting, and the latch mechanism has become impossible to use! I don't understand how/why being it should be designed to handle the elements of being on-top of an SUV. Very disappointed with the lack of quality for a $130 product.

Great rack! Not much else to say, only that it has been working as intended. It definitely cannot hold 6 pairs of regular all-mountain skis, max 5.

These are basic racks for a very good price. Have used multiple times with no problems. They attach perfectly to the SportRack mounts. The locks and hinges work good.
