This part went bad on my 2014 Equinox. The resistance in the circuit went out of parameter causing stalling when shifting into gear and poor fuel milage. This VVT Solenoid restored the engine's performance and mpg. Error code P0010 for the intake side.
Easier than changing the oil

I replaced both intake and exhaust on a 2009 cobalt with the infamous p0013-p0014. (Picture is the new intake, old exhaust) I did as others advised and used the oem bolt from the old part (oem bolt is 10mm, dorman bolt is 8mm). Easy as pie, the hardest part was getting the old one out, it was stuck pretty well after 8 years and 75k miles.

Got a P0013 and P0420 on my daughter's 2010 Equinox, replaced the Exhaust one then the Intake one and cleared the codes. No problems with it now. Attached pictures of the old ones, see the caked on build up of filth.
