Looked for these fried tofu pockets and finally found out the name "Inari"

I love Inari Sushi, very simple recipe with rice and the inari pockets being the main ingrediants. I like to make them and keep them in the refrigerator as a nice cool refreshing snack on hot days. This brand of inari was manageable, but some of the pockets were hard to open. They seemed thinner than what I've used before, I slid a butter knife along the seam to open. There was a sufficeint quantity contained (16 pockets) in the can and the taste was as I remembered.
First time making inarizushi

I've always loved inarizushi and used to buy it at the store for a treat. This is the first time I tried making it at home and it was very easy. I cooked the rice, spread it loosely in a big bowl, sprinkled some sushinoko (sushi seasoning), added toasted sesame seeds and stuffed the pouches. It was delicious! I also used the extra seasoned rice with furikake and that was yummy as well; next time I will try it with some diced takuan (pickled turnip) for some crunch. The bean curd pouches are easy to pull out of the can, about 16 bags per can and fills apx 1/3 to 1/2 cup of rice each. Don't forget to pour some of the sauce into the rice. I am so happy that I can now make my own inarizushi â¤ï¸
Great texture/taste!

I have ADHD/Autism, so texture and taste are a big thing for me. If you enjoy more spongy, shreddy textures like me, you'll like these things straight out of the can! I will say, the sauce it comes in can be a little salty and intense, but if you pat them off with a paper towel and fill them up with plain white rice? Absolutely delicious and fairly easy to eat! I will say it is kind of delicate, so I would recommend having a nice, sharp knife to help you with splitting the pockets open and refrigerate them first to help them stiffen up, but overall, these little pockets have been a vegan safe food for a while. Buy it in your local Asian market if you can!
