Flip top doesn't work well, but honey is lovely!
natahoa✓ Verified PurchaseJanuary 8, 2017
This is great tasting honey in an adorable package. It has a flip-top, which I love. But the honey is too thick to use with the flip-top dispenser. Not a bad thing, but I had to remove the top unless I want to stand there all day and wait for the honey to flow out of the tiny hole. Overall, great honey.
In case of zombie apocalypse!

I first tried this honey while visiting family in Longmont Colorado. We immediately noticed how rich the flavor and texture was. On first taste I felt as though I could taste the different plants in which the pollen was obtained from . I was so impressed with this honey that I began taking a large Tablesppon each morning and evening while I was there to combat the allergy symptoms I was experiencing from the altitude and climate change. Within 3-4 days all my allergy symptoms were gone I felt great and I knew I had to get more. I ordered 2 boxes so that I would have it upon returning home. After returning to work (I work in a nursing rehab) I found out that while gone our maintenace man had experienced a mishap while working on a project and had severed part of his thumb behind the nail, the doctors were able to reattach the digit however possibility of success was minimal. Each day I talked with the maintenance tech and was growing more and more frustrated in that the doctor was giving up and advising him to do the same I remembered (I am not a doctor nurse and have no medical knowledge to support this) that while vacationing I had seen a documentary on king tut and the healing properties of honey so since the thumb was getting worse with the antibiotic ointment I suggested maybe he see a naturopath and see if he could consider one last try with a honey dressing. The doctor did not feel like "honey even medical honey was going to benefit the thumb in either way but the guy was willing to try. 4 days into the "medical" honey Jack was still not seeing results so I suggested I bring hi, some of my Colorado raw honey just to see since so,etimes the honey tasted a bit medicine like to me. So applying this Ambrosia honey 1-2 times daily within one week the thumb stopped showing signs of infection and 3 weeks later was showing signs of new tissue growth. It's now been 4 months since this happened and my friend still has his entire thumb he calls me his Super Hero and savior. His Doctor doesn't believe the honey healed but M and Jack believe in the power of natures gifts and I will forever use this honey not only for eating, allergies wound healing and digestion so will my co worker. he had me order him spa case as well, he told me he hoards it in his shop for just in case. So in the end I believe this wonderful honey is the best you can get and it tastes great. In event of zombie apocalypse I've got my honey, Jack has his honey I suggest you get your honey too it's truly a jack of all trades gift from the gods.
Really great taste and it kept really well

Really great taste and it kept really well. I don't use honey all of the time and I'm just done with my last bottle a year after purchasing this. It got cold for a little while and one of the bottles crystallized a little, but I warmed it up a little (putting the bottle in hot water, like you'd warm a baby bottle) and it dissolved and was just as wonderful as before. I don't really love the tip because you have a pretty large hole once you cut it down low enough to get any out, but it wasn't so big that you'd pour anything on accident so no big deal.
Great Honey.... not so great price

I last purchased this honey in July and paid $23.04 for the 23oz bottle 4 pack. Came back just now and the price had jumped to $35.14 for the same quantity. I still love this honey, and will continue to purchase it..... but I have added it to the increasingly lengthy list of items that are FAR cheaper for me to buy locally. If you do not have the option to buy decent raw honey locally, then this is probably still a (comparatively) good deal; but you definitely want to check out your local options first!
Love it!

Gotta love raw honey. It does crystalize and become difficult to remove from the bottle, but it's raw and not treated, so that's expected. I've learned to transfer it to a wide mouth container before it crystalizes so I can get every bit of it out.

As for the benefits, it supposedly has beneficial enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, antibacterial and antiviral properties plus anti-inflammatory properties. There is a warning not to give it to children under one year of age because of the botulism spores it contains because their systems can't handle it. So be careful there. Some wound specialists use honey for wound healing. It's almost a humectant and used for bringing moisture to the skin after it's applied and then rinsed off later.
