The Sylvania Lighting Indoor Flood Bulbs are perfect for the lighting of our finished basement. For the price and quantity, these were a great deal. We've had them installed for about 5 months and not one has burnt out. I'm not sure how they rate on efficiency, but we prefer the way these look in the holders over the energy efficient ones.

My biggest concern ordering light bulbs on line was that they would be damaged in shipping but these bulbs were very well protected. I ordered 12 total and I immediately tested everyone of them to make sure nothing was burned out. Everything works fine and after 2 weeks nothing has burned out yet (obviously not long enough but in the past I've had others go in 1-2 days or last 1year+)
The light they give off is identical to that of all of our other bulbs (mostly Phillips) which is helpful in avoiding the weird half white/half yellow glow that sometimes occurs mixing bulbs. They do provide a different light than the high efficiency ones we have. Our house tends to go through bulbs often, for some reason we routinely explode them when turning on lights, so having a box on hand is critical.
