I was very hesitant to order anything with a leash for my son. I always hated these before having a child. "You're kid isn't a dog" was my thoughts. After a child, especially one that is very independent I started to consider it. I saw another parent at a store with a similar backpack style leash for their son and it seemed to work really well and the child didn't mind it.
So I ordered this one. It was lost in the mail during hurricane Harvey and didn't arrive for two weeks. During this time I started to change my mind again. I decided it wasn't arriving and I wasn't ordering another.
When it did arrive, my son reached for it immediately. He's 20 months (year and a half) and it fits him well with room to grow. I can fit wipes, 3-4 pull ups and a change of clothes. The side pockets are good for small snacks. And the large mesh pocket is large enough for a munchkin 360 cup to fit (if you know these cups they aren't small cups). So for quick trips out I can grab this bag instead of his large diaper bag and at the store he can wear it so he always has everything he needs.
The leash. I slowly got used to the idea of it and my son actually loves it. He thinks he's leading me around. It has some give to it so when he reaches the end it's not a huge jolt to his body. It's not very long which I like as it keeps him within a safe distance from me but gives him a few feet to explore.
I have had several compliments on it. Many people have said a leash saved them when their kids were smaller and several said they wish they had this years ago.
Overall very good quality bag.

Not only is this product adorable it is also functional. I never thought I'd be the kind of parent that would put a leash on my child but after realizing my toddler is constantly on the go I realized I would probably have to not only for my sanity but for his safety. We visited downtown Detroit recently and my toddler refused to stay put in his stroller or wagon so after the 3rd time that he crawled over the edge despite my attempt to keep him seated my husband and I decided to put his backpack on him and let him think he was roaming free. It allowed him to roam "freely" and allowed me to relax (almost) and not worry about my baby falling from his stroller, hitting his head on the concrete, or sprinting in front of a moving vehicle of some sort. Babies and toddlers are quick little human beings that can disappear in an instant no matter what your parenting style is. This is adorable, affordable and is meant to keep your child safe.

When my little guy started walking/running, I knew I needed something. Let's face it, my husband isn't the best at keeping an eye on him in the store. Getting this backpack has been amazing. It holds a small kid size water, several diapers, and snacks. But the thing I liked the most is the leash. My husband is 6'2 compared to me being 5'1 and he has a harder time with our first backpack leash (monkey Eddie Bower) as it was a short leash and he felt he had to stoop down a lot just to let our kid run. This backpack has the perfect elastic extension that makes it easy for tall people and perfect for short people so it's not dragging on the ground. Great purchase.

These backpacks with detachable leashes are a godsend. Traveling across the country with two toddlers and trying to get through airports was made so much easier having these. Love that the leashes detach as we do not always need the and my boys enjoy wearing the backpacks. Amazing quality, durable, and great for carrying their little toys and snacks while ensuring they can't wonder off. Highly recommended.

AMAZING! My Son, who is 19 months old, is a MOVER! And I don't just want to plop him in the stroller every time we are out. This gives us the freedom to allow him to walk without worrying about him getting too far away from us. He doesn't always want to hold hands, and this really helps keep him within a safe distance. He actually likes it and will bring it to me when I say we are going "bye bye." It's really cute and comfortable. The backpack portion is just big enough for a sippy cup and/or a light weight toy. I am so happy with this purchase. We recently used it at the beach.
