Not extremely big but extremely cute.
Virginia•February 10, 2018
This is on the small side but it's really cute. I just added a little exercise run to it and my rabbit seems happy. I recommend getting a plastic litter pan (from a dog crate) to place under it. My rabbit is older and will not use the stairs to go up to the second level but I'm certain you get rabbits would use it without a problem. It's not that steep. My rabbit is medium sized too if that gives a reference with the pictures. I'd recommend this with an exersize run added to it.
Looks over function
TSO•May 21, 2017
Given my small apartment, I wanted something that looked like a pleasant piece of furniture rather than a tiny prison. It wasn't extremely difficult to assemble but it took a few hours. It is as charming as promised. However, it is a bit cramped for its primary resident: a Rex rabbit named Astrophil. Poor A is afraid to descend the stairwell and lives only on the second floor, which is just as well because the board fell off for no apparent reason in two weeks. Now I shut the trap door and the first floor is a storage for his things. I really don't recommend this size house for a rabbit unless you plan to take him out to run around fairly frequently.
A is an avid chewer and the doors are made of flimsy strips of wood. The metal mesh is now barely being held up by the staples. It will likely be a safety issue soon and the wood itself looks stained, though no problems thus far. I've emailed the company about a replacement door and they are slow to respond (it's been weeks).
The other more minor but unpleasant issue is with the removable metal pan underneath. It is a clever idea and functions like drawer / litter box. However, it isn't leak proof and the wood underneath is looking damaged.
All this said, I am a fiercely impractical person and would have bought this anyway. I do like the little attic which functions as a lovely hidden storage. And poor A does seem to like his home. The second floor is divided in such a way to allow a hiding room if scared, but he spends most of his time lounging on the trapdoor like an odalisque on a couch.

My bun loves her new hutch!
Hummerbird*•January 2, 2017
It's such a charming little house! My 3 lbs. lionhead bunny loves it! At first I was worried that the ramp leading to the second floor was too steep for her. It took her a few days to understand that there was a second floor but afterwards I couldn't get her to come out of it! She just wants to sit in her house and enjoy. When she scrambles up the ramp though I noticed that sometimes she falls back down. Maybe I need to trim her nails have grown too long and I need to clip them but if you have a rabbit that can't climb well or doesn't like to climb ramps that's something to keep in mind.
I definitely think this makes a better indoor/garage hutch. It's great for my apartment because I know it's technically made for outdoor use so she can't get out of it easily (not that she really wants to). The instructions for assembling it aren't very great but I figured it out. The first page isn't so hard to follow but it seems like the instructions jump ahead as you move onto the second page.
Be prepared to spend a few hours setting this up and pay attention to where you screw the panels together. There will be holes already drilled into the parts that are supposed to have nails screwed in so make sure the side with the holes is facing the way it's supposed to. If you mess up (like I did) no worries, the wood is fairly soft and you can screw holes into the side that wasn't already drilled for you. If you intend to use this for indoor use I found that buying 2 stone raised rubber outdoor mats go well as a floor for this house.
I read in some of the comments that this house can fit two rabbits. I think that technically it's true but it would be a little cramped and if a bun wanted to lay down and relax it would have to have a whole floor to itself. So if you had two buns one would have to occupy the top level and one on the bottom. Otherwise I see how it would be a bit cramped.
Another thing I noticed when looking through the reviews is that I couldn't find a good picture to give a size comparison. It's one things to see the measurements listed in the description but I wanted a picture with the house in full view next to something that I could compare its size to for reference. I took a few pics of my bunny in front of her house and I hope that helps people understand what size this is. You can also spot her hay and bedding on the side and behind the house. An unopened bag of 12.5L CritterCare paper bedding stands a little over half the height of the hutch not including the roof/attic.

Moldy piece of adorable junk
Theo•September 27, 2016
Denial is a powerful thing. I was so smitten with the style of this hutch that I read all the negative reviews and thought, well, those aren't everyone's experience, I'll probably have a better experience with this product than the naysayers!
I was so wrong.
When the hutch arrived, not only were there breaks in the wood, but there was MOLD on the inside of the roof panels. See attached photos: LOTS OF MOLD. A tumble in transit would've been forgivable, but letting a product go out the door crusted in mold is disgusting. I will never buy a product from this brand again, and I will dissuade anyone looking at this hutch to click away now. It is not worth it!
Normally with this sort of issue, I would have sent the product back. However, the two moldy panels were at the very bottom of the box, so I didn't discover them until I'd already started assembly, and they were in the only part of the hutch that the rabbit doesn't actually have access to. Ultimately I had to decide whether it was more of a hassle to repackage and ship back this adorable piece of junk or clean it myself. I opted to clean it, using it a bleach and water solution to kill the mold and letting the pieces dry in the sun. Because I chose to keep it and clean it, I got treated to some other, less frightful problems with this hutch: instructions that were clearly meant for another model, broken pieces of wood, missing screws, and a hutch that was about 6" smaller than I expected all around.
The only reason this even merits one star is my 2lb netherland dwarf rabbit adores it. She finally has a sizable hutch with a private area, a burrowing area, and lots of downstairs space. But she didn't have to build the damn thing, so she doesn't get to write the review.
Pros:
* style
* variety of environments
* comfortable for a 2lb rabbit
Cons:
* MOLD
* broken pieces
* instructions were for wrong unit
* screws were also for wrong unit
* not as large as expected (users here have given two sizes; it was the smaller)
Overall, NOT WORTH IT. Don't be like me. Don't let style rule out over logic. (Unless you like cleaning up mold, in which case, have fun!)

I'm glad I went ahead and bought it
Brian Alexander•September 7, 2016
I was hesitant to buy this after some of the reviews. I'm glad I went ahead and bought it. This is def not meant for outdoors. It's not safe enough from predators. We are using it inside so it's not an issue.
I had a tray from inside an extra large dog crate that I put the hutch on while she gets litter trained and it's working well.
I put it together along with my four year old and didn't find it hard at all and no split wood. Overall it's attractive, it is sturdy for inside use and gives my bunny more room. I would recommend this.
