I purchased this for my Pioneer Pet Raindrop Stainless Steel Pet Drinking Fountain. Previously I had bought a replacement pump from Pioneer and it worked fine but was noisy. The noise came from the power transformer that plugs into the electric outlet, not from the pump. This pump has a different transformer and it is significantly quieter than the other ones. Fits the fountain and works fine. Keep in mind that with any drinking fountain the pump needs to be taken apart and cleaned regularly for best performance (youtube video: pioneer pet fountain pump maintenance). Pioneer sells a Pioneer Pet Fountain Cleaning Kit brush that is perfect for the job and is available here on Amazon.

Extremely noisy. Their older pumps were quiet but I guess they had to sacrifice quality to keep the price down. I managed to swap it with another pet fountain pump where the noise only bothers the pets. I would NOT recommend it to a friend and will look for another brand when I need another pump.

This pump is good, the problem is the part connect to the current transformer! it is the second time in 2 years that I purchase this model because is only the transform that died after certain months, not the pump!
I found out after me first stop to work, I use the old pump with the new transformer and it worked perfectly!
this time, the third, worked only for few weeks! the use of this is for cat fountain that works 24 hours... the company need to find something that doesn't overheat so fast!
Now I have 2 pump, but not the power !!
I am not willing to buy a full pump based on the last that worked for fee weeks. I would like to buy only the transformer.

Poor quality product. It lasted just long enough to get outside the Amazon return window then quit running. The pump was installed in a fountain pumping clean clear water. No reason for such a short run life.
Previous pump was a Little Giant brand and ran for many years before requiring replacement.

I bought this for a small little pond that holds approximately 4 gallons of water. I bought it simply to keep the water circulating to prevent mosquitoes so I cannot speak to the lift power for this pump. However, for it's size, it does have a decent flow strength that can be adjusted with the little vent. However, the biggest issue I have with this is that it only takes the minutest sized particle to block the opening. Even the pollen that fell this spring clogged it up within an hour. I'd go out and clear it out and within another hour, it would be clogged again. So, I bought some pre-filter pond filter sponges and wrapped one around the pump to hopefully keep any small floating debris out of the pumps little filter area. Initially, it seems to work but then the next day, it had completely lost it's flow strength. I clean it out but it doesn't matter, it still clogs every 24-36 hours. I add water to this pond every couple days and pull out any large leaves by hand but it's the super fine matter that is still getting thru and clogging the pump's intake. I don't have time to completely empty and refill this pond daily and all though the pre-filter does extend the time between clogs, I find this very frustrating to say the least. So, as much as I'd love to give this handy little pump 5 stars, it's way too high maintenance to do so and it's not able to keep the water circulated on a daily consistent basis.
