After 10 years, my old sensor was off by about 10 degrees. Replacing the sensor fixed the problem and my spa now gets hot enough again.
No need to cut the wires. The old wire can be removed from the cable harness. All it takes is a jewelers screwdriver and bit of finesse. Search youtube for "connector pin removal" to see how it is done.

It works. Replaced my non functioning 9 year old temp sensor. East to install if you look up the procedure online. I had to cut the connector off and splice it into the existing wire that connected to my circuit board. No problem
