Intereasting pad that works as described.
fuel98riderOctober 2, 2017
I was skeptical about the self inflating idea, but I must admit that it does work. The pad inflated to full size in about 10 minutes. The pillow leaves a lot to be desired, so we bring our own travel pillows to supplement it. The pad is comfortable, and for me is more comfortable that the 3/4" foam pad we have been using. It's cover is slippery, and the sleeping bad slides off on uneven ground. The pad deflates with a little more difficulty that it inflates....trying to roll it up and get all of the air out to get it back to its original size is next to impossible. I pulled on the straps so hard when deflating that they pulled out away from the pad. The pad isn't ruined, but the straps are now no longer tethered. We have two of them, and will be purchasing two more to replace foam pads that had been used for years.
A Really Comfy Night's Sleep.

I am a youth pastor and I bought this pad specifically for overnight youth retreats where we sleep on floors and whatnot. I was particularly happy with the integrated pillow (one less thing to have to carry) Like all air mattresses, this one is not really self-inflating, you'll need to blow a bit to get it filled quickly. The pillow section completely requires inflation, not self-inflating at all. The pad is fairly thick and reasonably wide, which made for a good night sleep on a carpeted floor. I am 6' 0" tall and I was able to be completely on the pad - head to toe. The pillow is a little small for me, but comparable to any other travel pillow I might use, although that pillow would not be attached. The pad also has attached web straps for storage which is very convenient. I am also an avid hiker/mountaineer, familiar with technical hiking/camping gear. This pad is not meant for that kind of activity. This is really a car camping piece of equipment. The pad is quite heavy and fairly bulky, far more so than you would ever want in your pack. If you are driving in to a campground, need something for that unexpected house guest, or are sleeping on a floor in your church with a bunch of high schoolers for a weekend, then you can't go wrong with this sleeping pad.
self inflating camp pad

I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable this mat is. It takes a while to 'self inflate', so I'd recommend rolling it out an hour or two before you need to use it. Once it has time to completely fill with air it's really nice. Rolling it up is a little bit of a pain though. Compressing it while rolling it up takes a little muscle, and you'll probably have to roll it up twice while kneeling on it to get all the air out. Also, once of the compression straps tore loose the first time I rolled it up while I was pulling on it to help squeeze out air...so I'm not sure I'd call them 'compression straps'. Still, this mat is worth getting I think. It's great to sleep on, and once rolled up is easy to haul around. If you're not in a hurry it's great.
Some leaks after a few uses
TheRealNiclNovember 17, 2016
I liked this pad the first few times I used it. Unfortunately by the fifth time I woke finding myself on the ground. There was a pinhole sized leak near the vent. I patched it and figured it would be fine. The next use I got another hole on the opposite side, same place. The material keeps rubbing or hitting the inner plastic of the vent and I get holes. I love all Coleman products I have. Their name usually gives me confidence in the product, but I was not happy with this one.
Straps will rip off.

Took backpacking into the Zion Narrows. A little bulky but not too heavy. The straps that hold it together ripped off after the first use. The straps on my Coleman tent also ripped. Very disappointed.
