Not wide enough furrows

I was in very loose soil and I was not impressed with the furrow it left. BUT maybe with the shovel attachment also it would be better. Pretty expensive for the results it showed.

I bought this tool to aid in trenching for sprinklers. The primary problem is that the area under the gearbox in between the blades does not get cut, so the cut depth is limited to the blade radius minus the gearbox in the center, That's only about 3 inches of cut depth. Not much help in trenching, particularly in hard soil, where breaking that remaining high center ridge out is difficult. I know it's not intended for this purpose, but even as a furrower, I see that the value is low.
