Campbell Replacement?
Daniel D. STEIN-FREER•April 19, 2017
I'm a vegetarian, so I don't eat this, but the person I bought it for was thrilled. She misses Campbell's Scotch Broth, and says this one tastes good. Kind of expensive, though... Bought a case cheaper, ahemmmm... uhhh.... elsewhere, after trying one can here.

I have reviewed this soup three times tonight and it keeps showing as needing to be reviewed in my list.
Soup was great and the shipping was quicker than we expected since it came from another country.

Ah yes, the soup of my youth!

I started out looking for Campbells basic scotch broth soup which loved as a kid. Since its apparently no longer made I ended up finding Baxters. Because of the price and because its shipped from the UK I only ordered two cans. It is good! No chunks of meat but good flavor with barley and carrots. A hearty lunch soup that would be a five star with some chunks of lamb in it....I will order again.
Good Enough

I am one of the old-time Campbell's Scotch Broth lovers, and I miss it greatly--even the inferior Campbell's Scotch Broth that was made in Canada after they stopped U.S. production. This product is not as good, but it's good enough, and quite tasty. It is certainly expensive, but if you are jonesing for scotch broth, it will do the trick. I long for that thick, rich Campbell's Scotch Broth of the 1970s, but those days, I am afraid, are long gone.
