I bought this for a week's vacation at the New Jersey shore. I hate being in the sun but my wife loves it. So I was the hermit in this shell and it made my time on the beach bearable. It held up well in some strong winds and even protected me from flying umbrellas. Of course the only reason it worked so well is that I bought extra heavy tent stakes from the local harbor freight. If I had used the little ones included with this, I'd be chasing after it like all the umbrellas.
It's easy to set up. I practiced once in the backyard so I would know what to do when I got to the beach. Setup is less than 10 minutes and teardown is maybe only 5.

When it arrived, I immediately put it together, well tried to. I give 3 stars because I had to have someone fix it.
The one pole was longer, so, I had to ask someone to come over and he had to cut and tied the pole in order to fix it.
Other than that issue, which was repaired easily by my friend, it is a nice product.
It is roomy for 2 zero gravity chair comfortably, a beach bag, and a cooler. It did keep me cool when on the beach, as others in the party were seeking shelter.
I am pleased with the product.

We purchased this for a trip to Lake Powell last week. The shelter worked pretty well, though it really takes two people to set it up. If there is any wind, it may take many more. The shelter is not very tall, it will barely cover the head of an adult sitting in a chair. It is a bit wider than the umbrella type, so will fit 3 pretty easily but 4 would be tight.
This shade does let a fair bit of light through, it is not an absolute block, but did provide some much needed shelter from the desert sun. We were unable to stake it but the pouches allowed us to fill them with rocks and kept it in place through some pretty gusty wind.

It was 100° yesterday in Texas and this was a much-appreciated accessory. I'm not sure why people complain about setup of this. I've camped a few times and put a few tents up. I found this simple and easy to put together in less than 2 minutes. The material is thin but no different than tent material. We had a nice breeze flow through there as well as a small fan set up. We were able to put a 50qt cooler and 4 chairs inside. I'm 6'5" and love the height and room this one had. The edges come forward so we had two chairs there with plenty of shade. It was a great investment I've been putting off.

Much larger than expected! Super fast shipping! Product has held up to expectations, have used quite a few times on the beach. I suggest buying longer steaks but besides that, it's very simple to put together and folds back up nicely. Light weight and durable!
