Light-weight carrier in more ways than one

This carrier is very light, and if it actually can carry up to 500 lbs. I would be well pleased. The tig welding of the aluminum base looks a little bit to fragile. I am wondering how the assembly will hold up to vibration as you travel down the road. We'll see how well it holds up over time, but for now, I am well-pleased with the look and utility of this carrier.

I was skeptical about this thing being built out of aluminum and being able to hold 500 lbs. Granted, I'm not using it as intended - primarily, I have it mounted to the back of my tractor to carry feed bags to the barn. I'm not driving highway speeds, but I do have it loaded down with 500 lbs of feed. Package arrived a little banged up. A couple of the vertical pieces were slightly bent - but it's aluminum, easy to bend back into place. Assembly was a breeze - just a little time consuming because there are so many bolts. You'll want to have yourself a set of metric allen wrenches - none came with the package. It's lightweight, and so far, a lot sturdier than what it feels like.
