I really like the IDEA of a Katana machete but this one could have been done a lot better.
1. the Sheath looks cool but not functional if you plan on wearing it.
-on leg too long for most people
-on back would not work like picture and the plastic sheath is very uncomfortable
2. the hilt is wrapped in shoelace and feels thin in your hands
Since i already have it i will wrap the hilt myself and get a nylon sheath to wear it on my back, but next time i will no what to look for

With any blade you get what you pay for. This is a great addition for a Ninja costume, but as far as a tool or home defense, you may want something different. It comes a little sharp. I'm not a fan of the weight, but I owned a high end Cold Steel Katana blade years ago and regretted selling it. My old sword could cut air without swinging it fast. You could slowly move it in a straight line and you can hear the blade'a edge singing in the wind. I knew this Ninja sword wasn't going to be great in comparison.
It has some weight to it, but the balance feels awkward for me when holding it. Want an awesome sword? Then you're gonna be spending anywhere from $400 and on.

If you have it for a costume i think you could do better but it will not be as strong as this ...

It is mostly what i expected, the handle grip will need to be modified. I think it is sharp but will need to be improved. If you have it for a costume i think you could do better but it will not be as strong as this is. for self defense this is a very threatening item and deadly. It is thick seems very strong. If you plan on using it for clearing a path through foliage i think you could do better with a machete for feel, grip and swing balance.
Pretty Sweet.

Not bad. It isn't as sharp as I expected, but it's still a great weapon. The only problem I had, was the plastic part on the sheath where the strap goes through broke pretty fast, but it still can hold the sword around my waist.
9/10 would recommend. ^_^
