I used this for over two years, and especially during the colder months, there would be atrocious, flickering horizontal lines that wouldn't go away until everything warmed up. I got a new splitter -- DTECH 2 Way Powered VGA Splitter Amplifier Box High Resolution 1080p SVGA Video 1 in 2 out 250 Mhz for 1 PC to Dual Monitor Computer -- today, plugged everything in, and all the flickering is gone. The screen is far crisper and brighter, too.

I had to McGyver the computer set up, but this was what I needed to split the computer output the way I wanted to. It works as advertised, and I haven't had any problems with it yet.

I used it for my camera system. I used vga to rj45 adapters and connected them to all my tvs that have a pc port. This way I can seewhats going on from any room.

I bought this back in April of 2016, and finally got around to using it around July of 2016. It worked great up until the beginning of this month (9/1/17), and now i can't get the splitter to work at all. The power light will not come on, and I have used numerous outlets to make sure it isn't the power source. I only had two monitors being used with this device throughout its lifespan, so more monitors may decrease the lifespan, I am not sure.
Personally this is a really short lifespan for something like this, and I will be attempting to contact the seller to try and remedy this.

I had the idea I was purchasing a splitter/video extender. I needed a video extender for classwork. I check out the cost to ship it back and sadly I would receive half of what the product costed based on shipping cost. My message to the seller, Set large print in the information area that states NOT A VIDEO EXTENDER.
