This kettle does the basics perfectly. The water boils, the whistle works, the price is right, and unlike my previous kettle the handle stays cool even after being heated on a gas stove. If I had more counter space I would have a glass electric kettle but for a simple alternative this one does the trick.

Certainly NOT heat resistant, as it's a Tea Kettle. I think that the feature of "heat resistant" is perhaps a mistake. It heats quickly and efficiently, and I love the style and color. It has a nice whistle and I really enjoy using it in my kitchen. Thank You.
