Great purchase! Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good quality jacket with insulation and style! I bought the large size but my actual size is medium. But it said to buy one size larger. And large was perfect. Plus you can adjust it here and there. That's what I did!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON TAC-1 JACKET

You have to order TWO SIZES UP. STANDARD. These are made overseas in Pakistan and they obviously do not use American models for sizing. I have ordered this from Major Surplus themselves who are the owners of Voodoo Tactical and I am just glad I did not pay full price for this product. Upon first glance you might think it's a really sharp looking jacket, but when I ordered I knew they ran small, I just underestimated how small. I fit a medium jacket, I have a medium waist, but I had to exchange my size L for an XL to get the right fit. This seems to be a problem with most of Voodoo's products that they run small and they come in several odd colors.
What I find positive about this product is:
I ordered the Sand tan, and I absolutely love the color and the ripstop material, it's got ripstop webbing instead of nylon 1" webbing so the jacket remains flexible and that is low profile. The pockets are spacious and well made, especially on the arms, the canadian smock buttons are high quality, and the overall outside is very sharp and impressive. The zippers are all YKK and high quality, high quality as well is fantastic velcro, but the ((main zipper is reversed like on a woman's coat, and that really is something you'd have to be used to.))
What I find negative about the jacket. The processing quality is OK, there's a lot of extra threads to be expected, and the fit is still a bit small at the waist if you're zipping it, but just buttoning it or unzipping the side zips makes it fit more comfortable. The jacket sizing in addition to running small, means as it gets bigger they run a little longer than comfortable and I will admit I am a shorter guy so that's not an issue for everyone. The jacket relies on a waterproof material called Reissa that lines the inside and I must say that it is a HORRIBLE decision without a cotton liner over that.
The lining Reissa fabric is reminiscent of the material you put in your garden to avoid weed growth, it is a thin, fragile feeling plastic that is almost oily to the touch. It's basically weed-barrier except waterproof, it is allegedly breathable but I disagree because wearing the jacket for just a minute you feel the heat building within it. I think a cotton liner would have helped that issue because this stuff will stick to your skin. I wish they had gone with Goretex or Dintex fabric as the waterproof layer and included a nylon/cotton lining. The Pit zips are a plus in that regard but are too short in my opinion for good ventilation.
I also believe that the size zips designed for access to a handgun are interfered with using the waist cord design and the overall fit. That would need to change if your gun isn't super tight to your body.
Thing that could be improved.
-Addition of a stowable hood. It feels like it really needs one, draw cord hood to be used with hat or helmet.
-Change of the waterproof layer with something higher quality, and also adding another liner.
-Better sizing control.
-Waist adjustments on the inside of the jacket and not the outside.
-a MEN'S zipper on the front, it is the wrong way.
-Change the inner hanging loop on the inside to ripstop loop because cheap elastic-like braided string doesn't work.
-Top pockets could be slanted at 45 degrees facing inward for easier access like on other smocks.
Overall, it's an imperfect product that is genuinely worth the $50 I paid for it plus the gifts on the one sale but not full price. I hope to see this jacket improved because it has serious potential, it was just poorly executed.
For what you're paying with a jacket like this, it really is lacking in some areas.

This jacket is awesome.

This jacket is extremely versatile. It has side zippers around the waist so having a knife or pistol, is perfectly worn from the belt but outside of the jacket. The jacket doesn't feel too warm in the 50-60 degree range when underarm zippers are open but can button up for those really cold temperatures. Also the velco is great for all of my hook backed patches and the webbing is also on the breast velco. I ordered a XL and it is exactly that and not an inch larger. So if you are just a hair larger than a size go up not down. The draw strings are long but when you tie them up in a slip knot they are the perfect length. I ordered the sand color and well it is not really sand tan....more of an olive green, overall a very good and desired color.

This is the second jacket I had to order as the first had a broken zipper. Nice Jacket though a bit large but gives room for layers under.
Exceeds expectations.

It's a lightweight field jacket, fits great as it can be adjusted, has plenty of pockets and the velcro areas came very clean.
