This sleeves allows your foot to slide very smoothly through neoprene - almost no resistance. If you have a newer wetsuit with black rubber rings on the inside of the ankles, then you will get some resistance at that point. That being said, the degree to which the black rubber catches on this sleeve is less than on your skin, so the overall process of putting on your wetsuit is faster and easier (especially if you wear a thick suit, 4/3 or thicker). I would buy this again.
