Poor Packaging

Poor packaging. When the recipient took the coffee maker out of the box, one of the carafes slid out and crashed to the floor, shattering. The manufacturer does not sell replacement carafes. I ordered two similar carafes and am hoping they work. This was a gift to my mother for Christmas, but she just recently opened the box. It's beyond the return date. If you buy this, be careful because the carafes are wrapped in plastic bags but not taped down. They will slide out when you lift the coffee maker out of the box.

I love the product although it is currently not working properly. I purchased an extended warranty on this item although since it's still under manufacturer's warranty I cannot use the extended warranty. I called the manufacturer since it's still under warranty with them and it buys me that this product was not sold directly to Amazon and sold by a third party. Therefore I cannot return for an exchange of a new one. And not knowing what to do since I purchased the extended warranty on this item which is no good. Therefore I would need to buy another one. So why do they offer an extended warranty?

This coffee maker worked like a dream...for 3 months. First one side stopped working, would not brew switch stopped working. Last week the other sides heating element stopped. Absolutely not worth the price, buy a better known brand this obviously not worth the price.

Had one of these for the church for a number of years. When it died of old age, we immediately replaced it with the current version. The new one quit working (left side heating failure) after 2 months. Returned it, got another. This one quit (left side again) after 6 weeks. Amazon is great on the return/refund; the only bright spot in this. Clearly quality control problems with the manufacturer.
Dual maker provides morning bliss for male coffee and female tea lover

This is our 2nd one in 10 years. Use it everyday. Only dual maker on the market. We love it. I use my side for coffee and my wife uses her for tea. And occasionally we'll have enough folks over we'll brew two pots of coffee or tea at the same time.
