This coffee maker does its job quickly and well. The beep at the end of brewing is not too loud for our sleeping kiddos. While the top of the lid is a tad difficult to get off, it isnt unmanageable. Once you get the hang of it it's not difficult. We put the lid on the insulted carafe once it's brewed and it keeps the coffee hot for a long time. I can't say how long it's HOT for, but I can say 12 hours later it was still pretty warm. The coffee is tasty, though I think that it

I didn't know this brand, so I was worried. But it brews up delicious coffee. We enjoy high-test caffeine at our house, so we use more beans than expected, but that's not new for us. It's a great buy! The carafe isn't very big, but it's fine for two of us. If you have a lot of coffee makers in one sitting, you might want a larger machine.
