Super easy install

Super easy install! We bought this to help with septic tank smell that would come up through the shower drain. Works great! No more smell and when we do use the shower it drains normally.
Worked perfect for1. 5 years

Worked perfect for1.5 years. Simple device. Huge, huge mark up. Can't last too long given the valve opener. I've cleaned it a few times, easy to pop in and out but after 1.5 years, it doesn't dependably close. Imagine all in this category don't last forever. But price????
Perfect for Showers

I had a slight smell coming from my shower drain. Turns out it is tied to how the shower, sink and toilet are vented to the outside. It wasn't worth tearing out the walls for something that was so minor. I looked at a bunch of these drains and settled on this one. Took all of 5 minutes to get it installed. Totally did the trick. I was really worried it wouldn't drain fast enough and I would be standing in a puddle when I showered. You wouldn't even know it is there. HIGHLY recommend for a shower.

Had a sewer smell in my upstairs bathroom after a shower renovation and did not want to tear up the tile to get to the trap, so I installed this. Has worked perfectly. Smell is completely gone, and water drains as if it's not even there.
Works ok but...

First off like everyone else I think it is way overpriced but the design is simple and ingenious. It has solved the odor problem for me but it drains slowly. The flapper valve doesn't open until there is 1/2 to 1 inch of water in the shower so be prepared to be standing in the water while showering. I know if I pushed the device deeper into the pipe it would allow a column of water pressure to build up and open the valve before the shower started filling up. The problem is it will not go down any deeper. The top ring is too large in diameter. The valve is barely in there far enough for me to put the drain grate back on. But it does drain and does keep out the stink.
