I have been using this sparingly but the few times I've tried it I've noticed I have not had as bad acid reflux.

In case your wondering - after having my first ulcer, I had to eliminate alcohol, spicy food & coffee. Not happy about giving up my Scotch, not happy about no spicy stuff - but no coffee..?! Long story short after a few months of NO FUN... I purchased CalciBlend. I does not completely dissolve, however, using a PH meter and a hot cup of coffee - here are the numbers: (temperature relatively constant at 46.6C)
Coffee = 5.35
Coffee w/1 CalciBlend packet = 6.11
Coffee w/2 CalciBlend packet = 6.47
Coffee w/3 CalciBlend packet = 6.77
Coffee w/4 CalciBlend packet = 7.05 - (meaning neutral!)

If you NEED coffee - you may wish to try this product for yourself...

I have interstitial cystitis. Acidity foods are painful for my bladder. This powder sprinkled on top of those foods make it less to no pain. Highly recommend!

I like this product. I had vsg surgery about 5 months ago and am now very prone to getting really bad heart burn. I still like to enjoy a good cup of coffee though and usually have to use dark roast and acid reduced coffee, which cost about 3 times as much as regular coffee. Also, I just don't love many of the dark roasts, which are lower in acid for some reason. This don't add any weird taste even when it does appear that the crystals don't totally dissolve. It does help to add the crystals to the mug before filling it with coffee. I have found that one little itty bitty packet is not sufficient. I use two or three. That usually does the trick. I think that I might try this product in another form of packaging so I don't have to open all these tiny packets. Perhaps there is larger size packet or a shaker or something. I shared this with a coworker and she said it did nothing to her at all. I guess we are not all the same. I'd say this is worth a try. I read that it can be used to neutralize acids in other foods, but I have not tried that yet. Anything with tomatoes torture for me, but I usually just avoid them. I do love tomato though and might give this a shot. I don't know, for some reason sprinkling white crystals on home made tomoto sauce and similar delights just feels wrong. I recommend this product, just know that you may have to play with the "serving size"..o.k. signing off now to go make myself a cup of morning coffee...

I believe this works as it states. Not sure why the price is high for what it is. You could easily make your own. Follow the directions for maximum benefit.
