Lids superior to use vs. other glass containers

Snapware has very easy open and shut clamps. This is unlike the Prep Naturals Glass Food Storage containers which are very difficult. Also they can be filled close to the top, unlike others that you have to push the lid down to close them. Only problem was that I had to pay twice as much for these as the Prep Naturals containers--$7.39 vs. $3.20 each. But it was worth having containers that weren't such a chore. Maybe you will find them at a lower price than what I paid for them.

We have already had two lids break from the bending back and forth action these take daily. However, I was able to get free replacements by requesting it on the Snapware website. A few of the lids won't close as tightly as others do. The glass portion is by far the highest quality of this product...very thick. We will continue to buy and use them as long as Snapware will replace any broken lids.

Love these things! I've had curry and spaghetti and chili in these with all the accompanying juices and felt totally comfortable throwing it in my bag with my computer. I don't have a dishwasher and never microwave the lids and I expect these to last a long long time. Plus, wherever the food isn't touching the glass during the microwaving process, it stays cool. Overall easy to handle from the microwave. I don't ever want to microwave anything in plastic again.
I thought the size would be too small but it's actually perfect for one serving and helps with portion control.
One thing I haven't tried is the transfer from freezer to microwave or oven...or the freezer at all. I haven't built up enough of a stock of these containers to be able to store more than what I plan to eat in a week, so I've only ever used them in the fridge.

These glass containers arrived on time in perfect condition. They were very carefully wrapped by the distributor. I have a number of these containers in different sizes. I wash them in the dishwasher with the tops in the upper rack. These SnapWare containers are great.
