Best wetsuit on the market for the money

1st dislikes - I wish that O'Niell could figure out that for nearly 2 decades they've been cutting thier suits 2 to 3 inches too short in the legs. Even the 2xl long was too short and all it had was 3 inches too long in the arms and same goes for torso. I am exactly 6'3 and normal weight 215 220. I'm 250 now and the 2xl is perfect. Even at my normal 220 and wearing Xl the same issue. It's not like I'm disportionate at all. I even had my Dr scale me and he said I am as close to being perfectly portionate as one would hope for. Xcel wetsuits, totally different. The legs and entire wetsuit look like were custom fit from my measurements.
But seeing that I'm in a pinch and needed a wetsuit to keep myself in the water and moving so I can get back in shape. I bought this suit and it's been absolutely amazing for the $199 price that I snagged it for.
Material feels like the 2mm sections of the wetsuit are cut from a completely different high end poly while the 3mm sections and legs are not that buttery feel we've accustomed to and are in they entire wetsuit in the higher end models. I still don't understand that if you can make 2mm in butter and put it into this suit, why not the 3mm? When it's the extra blind stitch glued and tapes seals that we go for in the high end suits. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. This would be an easy 5 star if the material felt the same everywhere.
Lastly the cord as mentioned in a ton of reviews is way too short. People with little to no experience will not be able to get this thing pulled up without help.
Luckily that's not my situation but even I had a hard time grabbing it and keeping it in my hand, while having to grab the bottom of the zipper and pull down while I managed to work at getting this thing to zip up without pinching me or slipping out of grasp because there is just nothing to grab. It's easily 3 to 4 inches (or feels that way) that all 5 of my other wetsuits that have back zip.
Besides those issues which are completely design related. The wetsuits an amazing 3/2 and keeps you really warm while still giving you all the freedom and movement you'd expect from wetsuits today.
I'm 255 and I still fit just fine in the 2XL. I have never used weight as a guide in wetsuits because they always add length in all the wrong areas whole going up from this point in size.
If this wetsuit had an extra minimum 1.5 inches (preferably 2.5) length in the legs, it be 5 stars and I'd be buying O'Niell again as my go to, all around wetsuit that I wear all year long. I'd buy every one that you need to surf comfortably in So Cal all year long. Full in 4/3 hood, 4/3 3/2 all 2mil, long sleeve spring, short sleeve full, spring and jacket! But seeing as this is still an issue after such a long time of being axed from so many people who I know that used to wear only O'Niell. I don't see it happening and thus will still be going back to Xcel ad my suit of choice.
But if you want a wetsuit that is easy on the pocket, works as expected and isn't perfect by any means. This suit is the one. You'll stay warm, it will hold up and you'll still he able to buy a 4/3 with all that money you'll be saving.

Used as undergarment gear for football to stay warm! Worked great!

Bought this for son's football game. We were expecting very cold temperatures and this made more sense than the separate pieces that some of the big sports name brands offered and did a better job keeping my son warm the entire game. We used it for an alternate function but he said it worked very well. He was able to run, throw and move very well plus stay warm on a very cold night. Very satisfied.

paying 90 bucks i am very happy 5;10 160 medium fits well but would probably go with a medium tall if i were to order another oniel suit. as for the 200 price tag i would sugest to get something a little more quality but in 65 degree water i will be very warm.
Perfect Fit

It came nicely packed and is perfect fit. I haven't wore in the water yet but I've had lots of O'Neil wetsuits in the past so I know it of the best quality and will last a long time (if it doesn't get stolen like my last one).
I know the zipper back suits aren't as effective as newer designs at keeping you warm and keeping water out but they are a lot easier to get in and out of for people my age. At least the has been my experience and the experience of others I know.
