After a ton of testing and living with these, including using them in at work to connect our facility I can say without a doubt that these regularly under perform there stated 500 Mbps. I struggle to get 100 out of them most of the time. Sometimes they trip themselves up and need unplugged and re-plugged back in and until you do that they don't provide a network access. I think for someone who has absolutely no other choices they would be okay but even a good wifi set up could do the same thing they do and at the same or better speed.
Dead units after 6 months.

They no longer connect after 6 months of use. Worked perfectly up until then.

Annoyingly I've replaced these with some ActionTec MoCA extensions. I hope the alternative solution does not suffer from the poor build quality of these.
Worked great.

These are great. I have a computer and router on my second floor, with another desktop computer on the first floor. It would be next to impossible to run an ethernet cable down from the router to the first floor, and wireless connectivity was very slow and spotty. I simply plugged one of these units into an outlet near the router, ran an ethernet cable from the router to the unit, then plugged the other unit into an outlet near the first-floor computer and ran an ethernet cable from that computer's ethernet port to the unit. Pressing the sync button on each unit within 2 minutes of each other and WOW, the first-floor computer had a fast, reliable internet connection! Never plug one of these into a power strip. It won't work. They must be plugged directly into the electrical wall outlet. I waited a long time before reviewing this product to be able to say that in over a year of use now, my connection has never failed. By the way, turning off the computer or the router has no effect on the connection (i.e., you don't have to resync the unit to reestablish connection).
When working - they work great and simple to install

When working - they work great and simple to install. The first pair worked for a a little over a month before one unit completely died, no power. Returned units and got another pair in which one unit died (opposite end) in just over a week. Because of the price - ordered a second set and then waited (nor for long) for one to die. Now just keep sending them back for replacement while utilizing second set (actually now wait till two units die and then send back the dead pair). So we keep a working set and at least one spare unit and keep returning dead ones. We have gone through four sets now and we can do this indefinitely... Of course, we are hoping they figure out their problem and eventually send a better designed pair. I am a EE and have tested outlets on both ends, which are well within normal AC power spec. After reading the other poor reviews, I am kinda enjoying the process now, as it cost nothing to return them and get another set and must be a big hassle for the manufacturer.
Units keep failing!

This product works great when it works, but seem to have a problem with early failure. Out of six units I've had (three starter sets of two each), two lasted over a year, two lasted about a month, and the last two only lasted a few days. Time to give up on them and try another product.
