Nice hat, shipped damaged, a WRINKLED MESS

Great hat BUT unfortunately everyone that said it arrived wrinkled and damaged was right. I read others saying it arrived damaged and thought, "can't be always"...wrong. Came a wrinkled mess and not like one that you could steam out or remove easily. Too bad because fit was perfect and I really liked it otherwise. I might even be a dummy and try another one but what a waste of time and energy shipping damaged goods.

I like the way this looks. I was going to purchase the orange, but it was no longer in stock for my size. It fits fairly well, may be a tad bit small but it's pretty close. I'm not sure how well it will wear though since it is made from a braided paper straw. Whatever that is. I won't wear it in the rain, I know that. We will see how th sweat affects it. My wife hates this hat though. She feels it is totally useless. When I told her it was less about utility and more about a sense of fashion she quickly reminded me I have no fashion sense. I still like the hat though. And the wife.
Nice Hat, but Cheap and Lazy Packaging

I almost never leave negative reviews, but this hat was delivered in a plastic envelope - the kind you would expect to receive a tshirt in. An envelope? That leaves zero chance of the hat arriving unharmed.
Of secondary concern, the color is closer to peach than rust. It's not a bad color, just not anything even remotely close to the product image.
I'm going to try to steam the creases out of the hat (it arrived smashed nearly flat, of course) - that should eventually make it look like it doesn't belong to a hobo. We'll see how it goes.
Love Amazon, and I can tell Peter Grimm hats are pretty nice when they're correctly packaged. So I think I'll order these directly from the Peter Grimm website from now on. Hopefully they're not as cheap and lazy with their packaging.

I Love this hat. I'm a small man with a small head so the hat was a little large. No problem. Fix the size issue by adding about 6 inches of adhesive hat sizer strip (also order from Amazon) in front of hat. It now fits perfectly. This is well made and stylish looking hat, especially in the Rust color I ordered. And it was not crushed and out of shape when I received. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is one of my favorite hats. It is really good for spring. It has a certain stylish pop to the upturned brim that I like and have received a few compliments when wearing it. Might be a little too well made for a summer time hat, but I'm keeping it in my rotation for spring, fall and a little into winter for sure. It fits a little snug, but that is to be expected for the quality you get in this hat. I'm keeping my eye on this brand. It's a keeper.
